Kinwell FAQ

Kinwell Primary Care is an in-network option for those with health plans from Premera Blue Cross, LifeWise Health Plan of Washington, and other select plans. We have 16 clinics across Washington and offer online virtual appointments from anywhere in the state.

What is Primary Care?

As the name implies, primary care is a patient’s first stop for healthcare. Kinwell clinicians treat everyday injuries and ailments. They also manage chronic conditions like high blood pressure, depression, and diabetes. We treat many urgent medical needs, saving patients from an expensive trip to the ER. When necessary, we refer patients to in-network specialists.

Appointments can take place in person, online, or over the phone. Kinwell makes it easy to schedule the kind of appointment you need, when you need it.

What is Kinwell’s approach to primary care?

Kinwell clinicians treat the whole patient with a team-based approach. Our clinicians provide treatment when needed but also work to keep patients healthy with regular vaccinations and screenings, and by discussing vital health factors such as nutrition, daily activity, and restorative sleep. They are supported by behavioral health clinicians who help patients navigate difficult emotions and situations.

Our team approach is based on a trusting relationship between patient and clinician. By getting to know you, our doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants can help you live your healthiest life.

Does Kinwell work with other providers?

Kinwell works with local colleagues to improve community resources and ensure the best care for each patient. When needed, Kinwell refers patients to specialists and manages follow-up treatment. We use the secure MyChart records system to share patient information with specialists while ensuring privacy.
