Douglas Crawford is a board-certified family medicine physician starting his 40th year of practice, treating patients of all ages. He received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, followed by a Masters in Psychology, both from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, then attended medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, now known as Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Upon completion of his internship in Flint Michigan, he moved to Ft. Lewis in Tacoma to serve as a flight surgeon for 3 years, then completed his family medicine residency next-door at Madigan Army Medical Center. Major Crawford then served for 2 years as a family practitioner at Ft. Polk, Louisiana, the left the Army for 28 years, before rejoining the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2018. After leaving Ft. Polk he moved to and practiced medicine in the Methow Valley in Northern Washington, then in 1995 moved to the Tri-Cities where he continued as a family medicine practitioner to the present. He emphasizes preventive medicine and has been teaching osteopathic medical students from Pacific Northwest University for the past 7 years.
