Lifestyle Medicine:
Intro to Diabetes
A single-session group appointment.
Whether you have just been diagnosed with prediabetes or you have lived with type 2 diabetes for years, lifestyle medicine can help. The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) has studied healthy lifestyle habits and found they can be as effective as medication in treating diabetes.
Kinwell Primary Care now offers a one-session introduction on adopting healthy lifestyle practices. This group appointment is held online over a secure Zoom call. Patients will learn about sustainable lifestyle changes that can improve their health, lower their blood sugar, and help them make lasting changes to their overall well-being.
Wednesdays, May 20, June 3, and June 17
12:00 – 1:00 pm
This 1-hour medical appointment will explain how lifestyle medicine can be a tool for sustained health. Patients will learn how to adopt achievable health goals. The last 20-minutes of this session will be reserved for questions and individual concerns.
Ask your Kinwell provider if this single-session program is right for you. Intro to Diabetes will be offered on May 20, June 3, and June 17 from noon to 1:00 pm. To learn more and to register, call Lesley Baker, Lifestyle Medicine Coordinator, at (206) 690-5852.
