Healthy Nutrition

Food is the medicine that keeps us healthy.

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine has identified six pillars of good health. Each is important, but none is more essential than nutrition. A healthy range of nutritious food not only powers us through our day, but can prevent, treat, and even reverse many chronic conditions. Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and other weight-related conditions are often the result of eating unhealthy foods.

Nutritious meals power us through the day, keeps us healthy and mentally sharp, and prevent chronic illness. The nutrition human beings need can be found in plants, that’s why the American College of Lifestyle medicine recommends a 75/25 rule for daily meals. 75% of your plate should be fruits and vegetables, with the remaining 25% from lean or plant-based proteins.”
