Group Programs

Convenient treatment for chronic health concerns.

Kinwell’s advanced primary care offers group programs to treat physical and behavioral health conditions. These online appointments offer treatment, education, and collaborative support to establish a healthy lifestyle.

Lifestyle Medicine Intro to Nutrition

This program introduces patients to the American College of Lifestyle Medicine’s (ACLM) six pillars of good health: plant-predominant eating, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, positive social connections, and the avoidance of risky substances. Primary emphasis is placed on healthy nutrition that supports, prevents, and treats chronic disease.

Lifestyle Medicine Diabetes

This 12-session program is based on the ACLM’s LEADR program (Lifestyle Empowerment Approach for Diabetes Remission) to help patients manage and even reverse type 2 diabetes and prediabetes.

Lifestyle Medicine Hypertension

High blood pressure is a serious condition many Washingtonians struggle to manage. Patients in this program will learn science-based strategies to manage their blood pressure including healthy eating, consistent movement, managing stress, and getting good quality sleep.

Continuing the Journey

Patients who complete a Lifestyle Medicine program can receive continued support through these monthly group appointments. In each online session, a Kinwell clinician will explore in depth an ACLM pillar of good health.

Behavioral Health Coping Skills

Kinwell’s behavioral health team offers coping skills classes to help patients navigate tough emotions and challenging situations. Patients will learn various strategies to effectively manage stress, build resilience, and improve their overall mental well-being.

Behavioral Health Winter Blues

This six-week program is designed for patients managing seasonal depression. Patients will learn what causes the condition, and how treatments like light therapy, cognitive behavioral strategies, and community engagement can help.
