Lifestyle Medicine: Menopause

Navigating the transition with lifestyle choices.

For many women, perimenopause and menopause can be a challenging time of life. The symptoms of this transition—hot flashes, mood swings, and loss of bone and muscle-mass—need to be carefully managed.

Kinwell clinicians can help with science-based treatments such as hormone replacement therapy. Healthy lifestyle changes are also an effective way to navigate this transition. Nutrition, quality sleep, and daily physical activity can work in tandem with medication to minimize the symptoms of menopause.

Dr. Miranda Raiche will lead a new Better Together program of six shared medical appointments. She will discuss what symptoms and hormonal changes happen during the perimenopause and menopause transition and offer tested lifestyle changes patients can adopt to support healthy aging.
