Kinwell FAQ

Welcome

Kinwell is a new primary care option for Premera Blue Cross and LifeWise Health Plan of Washington members. We have opened clinics across Washington state and offer the convenience of virtual care over a computer or smart device.

What is Primary Care?

As the name implies, Primary Care is a patient’s first stop for general healthcare. The clinicians of Kinwell Medical Group treat everyday injuries and ailments. They also manage chronic conditions like high blood pressure, depression, and diabetes. We treat many time-sensitive situations, saving an expensive trip to the ER or urgent care. When necessary we will refer patients to in-network specialists.

What is Kinwell’s approach to Primary Care?

Quality healthcare is more than treating patients when they are sick. It’s also about keeping patients healthy over the long term. Kinwell clinicians consider the big picture of patient health—nutrition, fitness, and behavioral health—even as they diligently treat everyday concerns.

Our team approach is based on a trusting relationship between patient and clinician. By getting to know you, our doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants can help you live your healthiest life. This conversation can take place in person, online, or over the phone. Kinwell makes it easy to schedule the kind of appointment you need, when you need it.

Does Kinwell work with other providers?

Kinwell works with local colleagues to improve community resources and ensure the best care for each patient. When needed, Kinwell refers patients to local specialists and then manages follow-up treatment. We use the MyChart records system and can easily share patient information with specialists while ensuring privacy.

Where are Kinwell clinics located?

Our first clinics opened in December of 2021. Since then we have opened additional clinics across Washington. For a complete list, visit our Clinics page.

How can I become a Kinwell patient?

Kinwell welcomes new patients covered by Premera Blue Cross or LifeWise health plans. Select a clinic on our Clinic page and schedule your first appointment online or by calling 833-411-5469. Patients who are located far from our clinics, or who prefer the convenience of online service, can establish care with our Virtual Clinic.
